About Scott Amusements

Mission Statement
Scott Amusements is a family-owned and family-run carnival providing clean, safe, family-friendly fun and food for Iowa’s fairs and festivals. Scott Amusements will help fairs and committees grow their celebrations by providing social media, radio and newspaper exposure to surrounding areas. Carnivals traditionally have a negative public opinion, so our mission is to improve that. We will be hiring employees who present a better public persona, providing them with uniforms and keeping the equipment and clean and well repaired.

The Owners

Robert Scott
 (Co-Owner)

Rob Scott is a co-owner of Scott Amusements. He graduated from Palmer Consolidated High School. He works at Iowa State University in the parking division during the school year. He lives near Pilot Mound, IA with his wife Lorna Scott, on the farm where they have raised their seven kids. As a teen he worked for Smith Amusements and decided to purchase the business after they retired. He previously managed a local grocery store for ten years, which also involved catering many large events. Their kids have been heavily involved in 4-H, and Rob has served on many community committees, so he understands the needs of fairs and celebrations, and works hard to cooperate with them.  His responsibilities include supervising set up and operation of the rides.
